So… About the Name.

Yes. We get asked about it all the time.

Long before there was a candle company, there was a name.

Back in the 1990s, when home computers were just becoming popular, Mark used “MorninWood” as his chat handle. Like most things from that era… it stuck.

Years later, when Mark and Deb were established in 2016 and began building their life together, they named their ranch-style home:

Morninwood Ranch — Established 2016

They even hung a handmade sign crafted from old barn wood out front. Not because they had a business. Not because they had a brand.

But because it meant something.

It represented home.
It represented humor.
It represented a fresh start.

So when the candle company began five years ago — at that very kitchen table inside Morninwood Ranch — the name wasn’t something dreamed up in a marketing session.

It was already part of the story.

The first wax pours happened there.
The scent tests filled those rooms.
The late nights and early mornings all lived under that barn-wood sign.

MorninWood Candles isn’t just a business name.

It’s where we built our home.
It’s where we built our life.
And it’s where we built this company — together.
